NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety

Who should attend?

This qualification is designed for anyone who has fire safety responsibilities in a small to medium sized organisation. It provides the knowledge and understanding, when combined with relevant experience, to carry out an effective fire risk assessment, as well as embed good practice in the workplace

The NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety is ideal for:

 Course Aims & Objectives

 The purpose of the course is to provide delegates with a fundamental understanding of health & safety management along with the skills and knowledge required for all those responsible for fire safety in their workplace. It provides an overview of fire legislation, risks, causes and preventative measures, as well as how to ensure the safety of people in the event of fire.

This relevant and respected fire safety qualification will help you to:

Course Outline

 FSC1 – Fire Safety and Risk Management

  • Managing Fire Safety
  • Principles of fire and explosion
  • Fuel, oxygen and ignition sources and control measures
  • Fire protection in buildings
  • Safety of people in the event of fire
  • Fire Safety Risk Assessment

FSC2 – Fire Risk Assessment – practical assessment

Certification

Delegates are awarded the official NEBOSH Certificate in Fire Safety on successful completion and passing of the NEBOSH exam and practical fire risk assessment.

Duration

5 days training followed by an open book exam (Candidates have 24-hours to compete this – though you should be able to complete it in 4-5 hours.).

Candidates also need to conduct a risk assessment based practical application in their own workplace.

Please note there will be approximately 20 hours of private study required.

Location

We can offer courses on company premises for a maximum of 12 delegates or upcoming open courses in your local area.
